Microsoft SQL Azure FAQ

2010 May 10
by Shannon Lowder

I was searching for news on Microsoft SQL Azure when I cam across this new FAQ.  It answers a lot of the questions you may have, and several that I hadn’t thought to ask yet, like “how can you approximate the ROWGUID identifier… turns out using NEWID() will accomplish the same thing.  I hadn’t thought about this, since I had been using NEWID all along.

It’s funny, there’s always more than one way to do something in Microsoft SQL.  With this new version, none of that looks like it’s going to change.

I’ve attached the FAQbelow.  If you have any questions you’d like to add to this, let me know.  I can keep this post up to date with questions as they come to me!
