SQL Session – Performance Tuning in SSIS

If you’re not already a member of the Charlotte SQL Server User Group, go now and sign up. This group is a great resource of knowledge and connections to the SQL Server community in Charlotte, NC. Their plan is to get together once a month and discuss a new and interesting topic on SQL Server.

If you missed it, John Welch covered many details of performance optimization for SSIS data flows, including optimizing execution trees, managing buffer size, and evaluating performance metrics to determine where the bottlenecks are. Also covered were the logging options and performance counters that can be used to monitor performance.

Unfortunately, I don’t have any materials to share with you on this meeting. Maybe next time!
